The mama bear in me can, at times, be aggressive. It wants to protect sweet Kitten baby from having a rambunctious two year old sit on his head. It wants to protect sweet Kitten baby from being hit or bit, swatted or patted, beaned or screamed at, mauled or bawled at.
"Touch gently, sweet Kidoodle," I remind.
(And please don't misbehave simply because I've told you to do differently, I inwardly beg.)
The reminiscing part of me recalls that Kidoodle is a small child, a sweet little dear who I loved and cuddled and protected not that long ago. In fact, last month he was my everything. He needs not scoldings, but loves and hugs and gentleness.

I know what you're going through! This week I took a similar photo of both boys, lying on the floor. S had his foot wedged onto J's face, not in a hurtful way, but it's definitely something I need to be cautious of.
We are so excited for you guys. Glad that #2 is here! Congratulations!
Last week I visited my cousin and her darling three-year old daughter and beautiful 8-week old son. I witnessed what you're experiencing. Such a pull in each direction. You are not alone!
