Kidoodle has attitude. In a good way. He loves to be silly and rebellious, calling all things "gak" or "gank." He tapped into his Doofenshmirtz side when he designed this Lego gun: the "Shooterinatorgak."
I love the imaginative stories and songs he makes up, and I love painting and coloring with him. We're preparing to move this summer. It's busy, stressful work. My MIL says he's a sensitive boy, and that he's been sensing the stress
we've been feeling during our job hunt and acting out the stress through
naughtiness. This breaks my heart, as I'd like to shield him from adult
concerns. Happily for me, Skedaddle's job is over, although he needs to clear out his office still, and he is home most days to help. This has proved to be relaxing and happy for me and, I think, Kidoodle. He is playing more happily with Kitten baby. He's giving up most of his hitting and kicking tantrums. (They return when he is overtired, but that's understandable.) His charms are shining through.
Amidst our belonging-sorting, Skedaddle and Kidoodle and I painted dragons and hand-prints last week.
